It’s been a crazy busy couple of weeks here at Hippo Events, with back-to-back conferences, with some even overlapping on the same days – what a logistical challenge, but we have loved every second of it!
We are lucky enough in our industry to see and experience some stunning venues. Claridge’s, in the heart of London and one of the worlds leading hotels, was home to one of recent events, so we thought we’d give you a sneak peak behind the scenes.
Our client approached us to help organise their annual Investment conference for 150 pax in London. They were after a centrally located 5* venue that has the appeal to make attendees want to attend the conference, giving them a premium environment that is reflective of the company itself.
With a requirement for minimal commitment on bedrooms, the venue also had to have a large Plenary room for up to 150 theatre with set & stage, 4 breakout rooms and a space for registration and catering. What better hotel than Claridge’s, agreed?
We worked closely with our client from the initial conception stages right through to the delivery and post-event de-brief and reconciliation.
Providing original ideas such as pre-event teaser videos to be launched on Social Media to generate excitement, sourcing edible mist orbs for drinks reception entertainment (giving them the corporate quirky twist associated with the company) and large printed art walls where attendees could write their thoughts / responses to pre-set questions, we managed all aspects of the event. Responsibilities included creating a bespoke registration system (with full reporting capabilities) and sourcing relevant external speakers right through to the photography, videography and set & stage design and build.
Providing our end-to-end Event Project Management service we constantly liaised with all the Suppliers, Speakers, the Hotel and the 17 Sponsors of the event. Budget Management, Payment handling and on-site delivery were just a few other roles and responsibilities of ours.
