Venue Visit Review: The Lensbury

The Lensbury is a beautiful hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and an impressive grand entrance. The property offers 155 bedrooms across six different room categories, 28 meeting rooms, and parking facilities for up to 200 vehicles.

The hotel has a lovely character, with elegant wooden-panelled hallways leading through to the meeting and event spaces. The overall feel of the property is warm, professional and well suited to both corporate and social events.

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of activities, beginning with a sports day before heading out on a boat trip along the River Thames. The boat trip was particularly enjoyable, with each boat accompanied by an informative and knowledgeable driver who provided plenty of interesting information throughout the journey.

This was followed by a delicious BBQ, with the food being exceptional. The hotel staff looking after the food and beverage service were extremely professional, attentive and welcoming throughout the afternoon.

We also had the opportunity to stay overnight in a Deluxe Double Room, which was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.

The grounds at The Lensbury are exceptional, offering a wide range of outdoor spaces suitable for BBQs, drinks receptions and other events. The hotel also benefits from an impressive range of leisure facilities, including a watersports centre, rugby pitch, football field and numerous outdoor areas with deckchairs where guests can relax and enjoy the surroundings. There is also a fitness centre, swimming pool and floating sauna on site.

At the time of our visit, the hotel was in the final stages of a refurbishment, so some of the rooms were not yet fully completed. However, they showed great potential, with plenty of natural daylight and stunning views.

Overall, a really great day and The Lensbury is an impressive venue with excellent facilities, beautiful grounds and a wide variety of options for both corporate and leisure events. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces, leisure facilities and its riverside setting makes it a particularly versatile venue.
